Annual fundraiser supports young adults facing homelessness and those with foster care experience across North Texas

DALLAS, October 5, 2026 — TRAC’s 2026 Star Celebration welcomed record attendance and raised $326,996.33 to support young adults experiencing homelessness and those with foster care experience across North Texas. Hosted at September 28 at Arlington Hall at Turtle Creek, the evening gave guests a personal look at the young people and programs their generosity supports.

“Every young person deserves a place to call home and people who believe in their future,” said Nicole Binkley, TRAC’s chief executive officer. “We are grateful to everyone who made this year’s Star Celebration possible. Their generosity helps young adults access housing and receive the support they need to move forward.”

Honorary Chairs Carol and Don Glendenning joined Event Chairs TC Alexander of Bank of Texas and Debbie Dennis of Oncor in leading the celebration. The Hon. John and Helen Carona served as the leading sponsor, and four youth were honored with the TRAC Star Award for their resilience and inspiring courage.

The event featured the newly piloted paid internship program in partnership with Associa. The Carona’s shared the inspiration and vision behind the program, highlighting the importance of opening doors to workplace experience and career opportunities for young adults.

Throughout the evening, TRAC staff led activation stations where guests could learn about the organization’s programs and speak directly with the young people receiving those services. The stations offered space to ask questions and understand how community support makes a difference in young adults’ daily lives.

Funds raised will support TRAC’s work with young people ages 16–24 who are experiencing homelessness and/or have a history in foster care. Through street outreach, drop-in services, intensive case management and housing navigation, TRAC helps young adults address immediate needs while working toward lasting stability.

Live music and refreshments created a welcoming setting for conversations among supporters and the TRAC team.

The event’s success reflects the commitment of its sponsors, host committee and guests to ensuring young people across North Texas have access to opportunity and a community that cares.
