The Faith Project
 

Program Description:

Provides supportive services, including housing, for homeless adults ages 18-21. The program is designed to enable young adults who are homeless to obtain and remain in permanent housing, increase their personal skills and/or income, and achieve greater independence. Two-year program. Operated by Volunteers of America Texas.

 

Eligibility:

Homeless youth aged 18-21. Participants must be working, actively searching for employment, or be enrolled in school.

 

Services offered:

o       Assessment

o       Housing (assistance with rent and utilities)

o       Transportation

o       Accessing benefits

o       Job training

o       Job seeking

o       Assistance with continuing education (GED, college, vocational training, etc.)

o       Life skills training

o       Individual counseling

o       Substance abuse treatment

o       Emergency assistance for food and personal hygiene
