A World for
Children is a statewide, Christian, non-profit child placing agency
who believes that every child is uniquely special and deserves to
live in a loving and supportive home, free from harm and fear. We
serve therapeutic, habilitative and medically fragile children, ages
birth to 18. We offer a wide professional and experienced support
system to our foster families that includes assistance from case
managers, staff therapists, psychiatrists, psychologists and
administrators all of whom are dedicated to serving foster children

All Church Home For
Children serves families in crisis offering both respite (TLC) and
foster care. In addition, we train, license and support both basic
and therapeutic foster homes in hopes of providing a safe and
nurturing environment for children. We carefully match the needs of
our children to the resources and strengths of our foster families
ensuring a more harmonious family unit.

Angelheart Child
Placing Agency was founded solely to provide comfort and security to
abused and neglected children. Angelheart is licensed by and
receives funding from the Department of Family & Protective
Services. Located in Austin and Dallas our goal is providing a safe
haven for young victims of abuse and neglect. Our mission is “We
believe every child has great potential and we strive to communicate
that message to each child.” We work with children from birth

Azleway Children's
Services, is part of Azleway, Inc., a Christian based non-profit
agency with over 25 years experience. Azleway Children's Services
Metroplex division serves children classified as in need of
therapeutic and basic care services. In addition, Azleway operates

The Bair Foundation
has remained true to the vision of its founder, Bill Bair since
1967. We are a non-profit Christian Foster care agency. The Bair
Foundation is dedicated to placing children between the ages of 0 to

The Bair Foundation
Therapeutic Foster Parents are technically trained families who

Buckner Adoption and
Maternity serves the state of Texas in facilitating CPS adoptions.
Families are not required to participate in fostering a child before
adopting through Buckner Adoption. Buckner has been in operation
since 1877, and has been practicing adoption since 1884. A
faith-based non-profit agency, Buckner has a professional Christian
staff with expertise and experience in adoption. At the heart of
their ministry is the child's best interest, with an emphasis on
adoption education. Individual attention from Buckner staff and
Adoptive Parent support groups help foster a healthy transition for
each child. Buckner's ministry also includes infant domestic
adoption and working with women experiencing an unplanned pregnancy.

Buckner serves the Metroplex through services such as residential

non-residential outreach. Buckner Foster Care is one department of
Buckner children and Family Services, which has been dedicated to

Child Protective Services, CPS, is mandated by state and federal law
to provide services to protect children under the age of 18 from
physical abuse and neglect by a person responsible for the child's
care, custody or welfare. As a part of this mandate, CPS trains,
licenses and supports foster and adopt homes to partner in the

Covenant Kids is an exciting Christian agency that provides foster

Treatment Foster Care (TFC) is the most intensive program within the
Child and Adolescent Services division of Dallas Metrocare Services.
TFC provides therapeutic foster care to children referred by Child
Protective Services, the Dallas County Juvenile Department, and
other mental health providers. In TFC foster homes, children can
actively work on their behavioral and emotional problems while
supported by a specialized treatment team. As members of the
treatment team, TFC foster parents provide structure, nurture,
discipline, guidance, consistency, and predictability for the
children. TFC children and their families receive counseling,
rehabilitation, service coordination/case management, and
appropriate referral services.

The Gladney Center for Adoption is an international leader in
adoption services, having placed more than 26,000 children in

Hope Cottage
Pregnancy and Adoption Center is and 87-year-old, non-sectarian,
non-profit, United Way affiliated pregnancy and adoption center. Our
mission is to nurture and build families through education,
counseling, adoption services and mentoring. Hope Cottage has
partnered with the Texas Department of Family and Protective
services to find homes for children who are placed in its care. Our
experienced staff can provide individuals and families with the
necessary pre- adoption training and preparation, home study,
adoption services and after placement support necessary to create a
permanent loving home for these children. For families who receive
placement of a child in the conservatorship of DFPS, there are no
agency fees.
Since 1918, Hope
Cottage has helped more than 26,000 pregnant women plan the best
possible futures for themselves and their children and has built
more than 6,000 families through adoption. As the needs of the
community have changed, so have the services of Hope Cottage. Today
the scope of services include non-directive, non-coercive pregnancy
counseling, a young mother mentoring program, an adoption awareness
program in school, basic needs assistance for birth families, and

Established in 1930, Lena Pope Home is a not-for-profit organization
that offers an effective, comprehensive array of services to meet
the behavioral health care needs of more than 9,000 children, youth
and their families each year. The agency offers a comprehensive
range of programs in four main areas: family preservation services,
therapeutic foster care, adoption services and school-based

The therapeutic
foster care program provides extensive support and services to youth
as well as foster parents. Some of the resources provided to the
foster parents include extensive training and development, 24 hour
support, a mentoring program which matches newer foster parents with
tenured foster parents and resources to meet a child’ special
needs. The foster parent is an important member of the Treatment
Team at Lena Pope Home and participates in the development and
implementation of the child’s therapeutic treatment.

The Juvenile Department works with youth, ages 10-16, referred by
the police or judges in Dallas County for Conduct Indicating Need of
Supervision or Delinquent Conduct. The Letot Center is a
co-educational short-term residential facility that provides
emergency shelter care, foster care and non-residential counseling
services to Dallas County runaway children and their families.
Letot is the central service delivery system for runaway youth in
Dallas County operating on a 24-hour basis.

Social Services (LSS) is a Statewide, non profit organization who

provide services for all families in the Region 3 area. LSS Foster
and Adopt programs were developed by foster and adoptive parents in

Safe Havens of Kornerstone, dba Kornerstone, is seeking people who

experienced the hope and healing power of God’s love. Kornerstone’s

provides a refuge, or Safe Haven for children.

Kornerstone is a Christian ministry licensed with TDFPS to provide
foster care and adoption services. The agency serves basic,
therapeutic, habilitative, and medically fragile children birth to
17 years of age. All parts of Kornerstone’s program are intended to
support our foster and adoptive parents so that they will have the
resources to help the children heal and rebuild their lives.
Kornerstone offers a unique and effective system for training
foster/adoptive families, including monthly pre-service training for
families who are seeking to be licensed as foster and/or adoptive
families, and 40+ hours of training offered each year with
childcare. Several services are offered through the Internet,
including training and monthly foster parent paperwork. We are also
members of a collaboration of agencies from the DFW area who assist
in providing respite resources to foster and adoptive parents.

SAFY is a non-profit therapeutic foster care and adoption
organization that works with youth from both the Texas Department of
Protective and Regulatory Services and The Texas Youth Commission.
As part of our services to these youth, SAFY provides comprehensive
assessments, individual/family/group counseling,
educational/vocational development and training, and 24 hour a day
crisis intervention and support services. SAFY requires its foster
parents to complete an extensive training/educational program to
equip them to best meet the needs of the youth. SAFY provides
regular, on-going trainings to continue the professional development
of its staff and foster parents. A Foster Parent Advisory Board and
a quarterly newsletter also serve to provide information to our
foster parents. SAFY utilizes multiple resources to provide youth

Texas MENTOR is
dedicated to the placement of children and adolescents between the
ages of 0-17 in safe, caring and therapeutic foster homes. Helping
at-risk youth through individualized community-based care and
treatment, we provide DFPS with placements for children from Tarrant
and Dallas counties, as well as Collin, Cooke, Denton, Ellis, Fannin,
Grayson, Hood, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Navarro, Parker, Rockwall,
and Wise. We also have programs located in Austin, Houston, San
Antonio, and Temple. Prospective Mentor foster families undergo an
intensive selection process during which all aspects of the home and
family are considered. Prospective Mentors are then trained, and
matched with clients who are best suited for the composition of
their family and home. Mentor’s homes are screened and monitored
regularly to ensure quality and excellence in standards of care and
supervision of children placed within their homes.

One Church One Child is a nonprofit adoption and foster care
recruitment ministry established in 1980 by Father George Clements,
a Catholic Priest out of Chicago. One Church One Child works in
conjunction with the Department of Family and Protective Services to
recruit, train, and provide support services for families who come
forward to adopt or foster the children in state care. Since 1980,
more than 100,000 documented adoptions have been facilitated through
OCOC nationwide.
